DNP School in Bhatronjkhan was established in 2003 on the 1st of April in the heart of the city with only 25 children. It is a co-educational English Medium school founded by Mr. Lalit Mohan Kargeti. The school owes its origin, existence & development to the untiring efforts of Mr. Lalit Mohan Kargeti. He was a most dedicated person who inspired countless men and women. May God bless the great work he had started.
DNP School offers courses in Commerce and Science. It prepares students for All India Senior School Certificate Examination conducted by Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education. The School has highly qualified teaching staff, well equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. School offers facilities for variety of games, sports and co-curricular activities. Physical Education is a part of weekly routine and in addition to the regular sports, team games for school teams and inter house competitions are held. The main sports for the boys are Cricket, Basketball, Football, Hockey and Athletics etc. and for girls Hockey, Athletics and Kho-Kho, taekwondo, volley ball etc. School has well equipped computer laboratory and library. The Library is well stocked with books catering to varied tastes and age groups. The library subscribes to Hindi and English newspapers, journals and magazines and keeps the students well informed of the latest developments in the world. Each year over Rs. Ten thousand is spent on adding new volumes to the library. The School aims to develop, in all students, the habit of good and careful reading.
Individual skill and talent is fostered in students through a large variety of activities apart from academics which is supervised by staff members. Inter house competitions are held for debates, elocution, quiz and variety entertainment among children. Opportunity for picnics, camps and treks in surrounding areas are highlights of each year.
To encourage creative expression, children are given an opportunity to contribute articles and sketches in the school magazine.
Aims of DNP School
The school started with the aim to help young boys and girls irrespective of community, caste and creed to acquire a complete education of body, mind and spirit and help them to develop their total personality in preparing for taking a useful, effective and purposeful place in this competitive world. We help them to build strong character, develop social responsibility and moral values which enable them to make a noticeable contribution to society and also help them to overcome the failures of life. The school aims at imparting a complete and high quality education in the true sense of the word, not only by way of high academic standards, but also to go out into the world equipped in body, mind and spirit to lead a full and useful life satisfying to oneself and of true value to the community and country, to man and to God. We encourage our students to develop intellectual curiosity, moral integrity, a strong sense of values, a disciplined life style and spirit of friendly co-operation among students. Though the school is rooted firmly in the Indian culture and soil, students are motivated to recognize the value of western learning. The school offers facilities for a variety of games, sports and co-curricular activities, outdoor activities, project work so as to relate education to real experience.
Our aim is to strive for socio-economic justice by providing high quality, value based education in a conducive environment with a good foundation in English. It also endeavors to provide basic insight and understanding into the social, economic and political structure of our society.
The school has one more unit for the hearing impaired children. This school is one of its kind in the whole of kumaon region.
